I totally agree with Chris's view, it sounds as if the past reviews are from the owners’s no one else could posibly have thought this.

I ate there last week and have only just recovered from being ill, I suspect I got it from Armando’s as I was ill that evening. I am an American and it is this sort of restaurant that gives English restaurants a bad name. The food was not only poor – it was inedible, borderline putrid – my pasta was undercooked and my partners was as soggy so as to have the texture of glue, it tasted as bad as it felt - and would not have been surprised if this has come straight from aforementioned Tesco's.

Stay well clear of this establishment unless you have no taste buds and a stronger stomach than I....if i could give this a minus score i would.

Total rubbish. I suspect these past reviewers are the owners, or the owners mates. Lasagne "flown straight in from Livorno" - you must be kidding.

I can honestly say that this was the worst pasta I have ever eaten, anywhere, ever. It tasted like they'd microwaved it. My girlfriend found her food equally awful. I felt sick afterwards. I live round the corner (Bolingbrooke rd) and have walked past this restaurant on many occasions, often thinking that I should check the place out. What a mistake. What is the point in paying to go to such a restaurant, when you can go to Tescos and buy their cheapest pasta and cheapest sauce and cook a meal for yourself that is ten times better?

What an awful place. I never felt obliged to write a restaurnat review until visited Armandos. Avoid it like the plague.

The food is fantastic here. On weekdays they do all pastas on the menu for 5... I had the olive and anchovy tagliatelle which was the best pasta I've ever had in London

Village life urban style is alive in this corner of W14. Richmond Roads parade of establishments survives off the back of the ever growing legion of home workers and the odd Shepherds building resident that wants to avoid the bustle of The Green and the predictability of Shepherds Bar. Wandering down Richmond way I was pleasantly surprised to find the restaurant open for chow at 3.15pm. On entering the checked tabled cloths jostle with small tables, its all a bit nip and tuck for space. We were seated and served by the chef, his whites a testament to his toil in the kitchen that day. Expect service that is prompt and straight forward at mid afternoon sittings as you are probably going to be dinning solo as we were. Anyway the menu is classic Italian, with a noticeable lack of Pizzas. My lasagne tasted as if it had flown straight in from Livorno that lunch time, however my dinning companions soup of the day had all the charm of a tube ride from the Campbells soup factory.Armandos sits next to the now vacated Chez Moi, its enduring success is probably down to the fact the restaurant feels and is home spun, there are little and no airs and graces here. Our meal and two drinks came to a very economic 13. Fine dinning its not, charming dinning it is.

The Nag's Head Pub
A stones-throw from busy Knightsbridge, in a tranquil mews, the Nag's Head is locked in the past. The wooden frontage is like a Dickensian shop ...
